Module Transportation

As you would expect, the transportation of the prefabricated modular home to the final site is a critical part of each project.

The planning for transportation starts at the very beginning of a job.
Our transport team pre-drive routes to ensure smooth delivery. Potentially problematic factors, such as height restrictions, are taken into account and allowed for in the design of the home.

Several of our senior managers are seasoned pros at handling modular transportation. As is our network of highly skilled crane and truck transport companies – all of whom have been working in the industry for decades.

Craning days or ‘lift days’ are always a high point for the Moov Modular team as it means we’re at the closing stages of delivering homes for our clients. Modules are prepared for transport, and we work closely with traffic management teams, both at our manufacturing facility and on client sites. Transportation involves specialised trucks and equipment to safely move the units, often under escort for oversized loads.

Getting modules ready for transport is key to safe delivery and we take this safety very seriously across all levels of our business. Installing modules is critical and making sure the lifting equipment is designed for each specific project allows us to do this seamlessly.
